The following instructions must be followed during all maintenance, servicing, assembly, disassembly, and repair work:
• Close the gas supply.
• Disconnect all electrical connections.
• Switch off the pressure and bleed the lines.

• The system may be installed and commissioned only by qualified personnel (in Germany, see TRBS 1203).

6.1 Mounting the device

NOTICE
• Mount the device in the front of the solenoid valve (as close to it as possible) in the wire feeder and in the direction
of gas.
• Remove any additional gas management systems within the gas line. They impact the device.

1 Insert the mounting screws (not included in scope of supply) in the slots (5) to mount the device with the correct mounting
orientation (connectors face down).

6.3 LED status display
The LED status display indicates the following:

Test, diagnosis, and configuration of device

Meaning
Device switched on = regulation of shielding gas flow
Device switched off ("bypass" appears on the display) = no regulation of shielding gas flow
Device switched on and error message/malfunction appears
Device switched off and error message/malfunction appears
Device not ready for use = erroneous calibration data Have the device recalibrated by
an ABICOR BINZEL service technician
