Transport
3.1
On road transport
To lift the generator set, use the lifting bars/handle.
When transporting the generator set by loading it onto
a vehicle, secure the generator set frame to the
vehicle.
To prevent fuel spillage during transport or temporary
storage, the generator set should be secured upright in
its normal operating position, with the engine
switched OFF. The fuel valve lever should be turned
OFF.
Do not drop or bump the generator
set when transporting.
Do not place heavy objects on the
generator set.
When transporting the generator set, keep in mind the
following safety precautions:
– Do not overfill the fuel tank.
– Do not operate the generator set while it is on a
vehicle. Take the generator set off the vehicle and
operate it in a well ventilated place.
– Avoid places exposed to direct sunlight when the
generator set is being transported on a enclosed
vehicle. If the unit is left on the vehicle for many
hours, temperature rise inside the vehicle could
cause fuel to vaporize and cause an explosion.
– Do not drive on a bumpy road for an extended
period of time with the generator set on board. If
this is inevitable, drain the fuel from the generator
set beforehand.
