Keep third parties away from the power tool's area of
operation. Never work while animals or people,
especially children, are in the danger zone.
Keep the work area clean, organized and well lit (250 to 300 lux
light), thus decreasing the risk of accidents.
Always wear personal protective equipment and clothing.
Wearing a visor or goggles, dust mask, hearing protection, anti-
slip safety shoes, long-sleeved clothing, gloves and helmet
properly reduces the risk of injury.
Clothing worn during the appliance operation must be
adequate, tight and closed, for example, a work boiler suit. Do
not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep hair, clothing and
gloves away from moving parts.
The following precautions and procedures should also be
followed to avoid accidents:
▪ Always keep the sliding miter's base firmly secured to a
workbench, by tightening the screws;
▪ To avoid displacements or projections, use clamping devices
to ensure a safe performance; Place and keep the workpiece
in a correct and stable position;
▪ Always keep the blade guard in place and in good working
condition. The blade guard should move freely and close
instantly. Never operate the power tool without the blade
guard installed;
▪ In case the saw blade gets stuck, immediately release the
trigger switch and reduce the pressure applied on the
handle;
▪ When using the sliding miter saw, place yourself in a stable
position and always keep your balance. Hold the power tool
firmly to ensure continuous operation and withstand
unexpected situations;
▪ The saw blades may get too hot during cutting operation.
Avoid touching them, they can cause severe burns;
▪ Do not look directly at the laser beam for a long time;
▪ Make sure that the ventilation slots are not clogged. Do not
place any objects over the ventilation slots;
Avoid using the power tool on wood coated with paint
containing lead or other materials that are harmful to health.
There are certain types of powder (oak and beech) which are
classified as carcinogenic substances when they have
additives for wood preservation. Any contact or inhalation of
dust may cause allergic reactions and/or breathing disorders.

maintenance work, the power cord must be unplugged
from the socket.
Replace worn out or damaged parts immediately, so that the
power tool is always in a safe operating condition.
