Installation position
The position in which the sensor is installed can
vary depending on the type of car in question.
GB
Remember that total coverage in the car cannot
be obtained owing to the windows. Two or more
sensors connected in parallel can be used in large
vehicles. In these cases, the user must choose
the zone he wishes to protect before the sensors
are installed: front zone (engine ignition controls,
car radio, glove compartment) or rear zone (seats,
hat rack, boot in station wagons).
Once the fixing point has been chosen, proceed
with the calibration operation by turning the
adjuster screw with a small screwdriver (turn the
screw clockwise to increase the sensitivity of the
sensor).
Comply with a few simple rules when installing
the sensor to prevent false alarms:
do not install under the glove compartment,
-
coin holder or drink can holder.
the power cable must not be routed in front
-
of the sensor itself.
all mobile objects (free to swing) must be
-
removed or fixed in place.
After the sensor has been installed, no metal
object must interfere with the sensor's field of
action or undesired reflections could be created.
