disassemble the Chicco BebèCare compo-
nents. The equipment may only be replaced
if the battery is low and according to the in-
structions that will be provided by Customer
Service.
• Make sure that the car seat does not come
into contact with any type of liquid. If liquid
comes into contact with the sensor positio-
ned on the seat and the wetting is limited,
dry it carefully and delicately clean the sur-
face of the sensor using a dry cloth do not
move and/or remove the layer between the
sensor and the cover at any time. Wait and
check again that Chicco BebèCare functions
correctly. If it does not work or in the case of
doubt, contact Customer Service.
• If the car seat comes into contact with any
type of liquid, Chicco BebèCare may stop to
work temporarily until the car seat has dried
completely.
• The correct storage of the car seat (apart of
daily use in the car) is important to maintain
the operation of Chicco BebèCare without
any changes and must respect the limits
regarding temperature (between -20°C and
+60° C) and humidity (< 95%).
• The use of any unapproved accessory does
not guarantee the correct operation of Chic-
co BebèCare.
• The smartphone must be turned on and have
a sufficient battery charge for the period of
use when paired with Chicco BebèCare.
• During the first installation and each time
the family account is entered, an internet
connection must be available (mobile data
or WiFi network).
IMPORTANT:
• Chicco BebèCare only works together with
a smartphone that has the Chicco BebèCare
APP installed.
• If the smartphone is turned off, the Chicco
BebèCare system will not work.
• If the Bluetooth® is damaged, the Chicco
BebèCare system will not work.
• If there is no internet connection (mobile
data network or Wi-Fi), the alarm messages
will not be sent to the preset emergency
contacts.
• If the layer between the sensor and the co-
ver is moved and/or removed, the Chicco
BebèCare system will not work.
• If airplane mode is activated, the Chicco
BebèCare system will not work.
• The Chicco BebèCare APP may only be
downloaded from official stores.
• If there's no reception, Chicco BebèCare acti-
vates the first-level Alarm correctly but can't
send alarm messages to the emergency
numbers (Second-Level Alarm).
• Chicco BebèCare does not interfere with the
normal operation of the Bluetooth® system
that may be present in the car.
• Constant access to smartphone position
must be permitted through localisation per-
missions in order for the Chicco BebèCare
app to support the full operation of the sy-
stem.
WARNING:
• Check to perform each time Chicco BebèCa-
re is used:
• Check that is functioning correctly as descri-
bed in paragraph 9.1 How to activate Chicco
BebèCare point d).
• The smartphone must be turned on and have
a sufficient battery charge for the period of
use when paired with Chicco BebèCare.
• Bluetooth® must be active.
• "Airplane" mode must be deactivated.
• GPS must always be active.
• If two or more smartphones are used that
have the Chicco BebèCare APP installed, it is
necessary to identify which one is effectively
connected to the car seat and therefore must
never be abandoned.
9.1 HOW TO ACTIVATE CHICCO BEBÈCARE
a) Download the Chicco BebèCare APP
The Chicco BebèCare APP must be downloa-
ded. When accessing for the first time, the APP
will provide all the instructions to follow to re-
gister the account and use Chicco BebèCare.
b) Create the family account
A "family account" must be created with a
single password. This account will be the only
one that can be used by those who use that
