6 Putting out of operation
7 After ignition, hold the welding arc tight to the edge of the material to be
welded until a molten pool is formed.
8 Move the welding torch uniformly over the entire seam length.
9 Release the trigger on the handle = stop welding.

Putting out of operation
NOTICE
Material damage due to overheating
Liquid-cooled cable assemblies may start leaking if overheated.
► Allow the cooling unit to continue running for approx. 5 min. after the welding process.
1 Stop the welding process.
2 Wait for the gas post-flow time to pass then switch off the welding power
source.

Maintenance and cleaning
WARNING
Risk of injury from hot coolant
If the coolant hose is disconnected during or straight after operation, coolant can spray out and burn or irritate skin and mucous membranes.
► Allow the welding torch and coolant to cool down.
► Check and wear your personal protective equipment.
WARNING
Risk of burns from hot surface
Welding torches become very hot during welding. They could cause major burns.
► Allow welding torches to cool down after welding.
► Wear the correct protective gloves.
CAUTION
Risk of injury due to unexpected start
If the device is energised during maintenance, cleaning or disassembly work, parts can unexpectedly start up and cause injuries.
► Switch off the device.
► Close off all supply lines.
► Disconnect the electrical power supply.
7.1
Cleaning the welding torch
The parts listed below are subject to wear and soiling. As a result, they must
undergo regular maintenance and cleaning:
— Torch body
— Gas nozzle
7.2
Annual maintenance by an electrician
► Have all components (welding torch, cable assembly, spare and
wear parts) inspected and cleaned by an electrician trained by
ABICOR BINZEL. Replace if necessary.
7.3
Replacing wear parts, Fig. 4
NOTICE
Material damage through the use of unsuitable wear parts
The use of wear parts from other manufacturers and the improper installation of wear parts can cause material damage to the welding torch and impair work
results.
► Only use original ABICOR BINZEL wear parts.
► Ensure that the welding-torch-specific wear parts are correctly assigned.
► Ensure that the parts are installed in the correct order.
► Order data and part numbers for the equipment parts and wear parts
can be found in the current order documents.

10 After switching off the welding torch, hold it over the end position for
a few seconds. The residual gas flow allows the molten pool to solidify
without external interference.
3 Close the valve on the shielding gas cylinder.
4 Switch off the cooling unit.
— Tungsten electrode
— Back cap
— Electrode holder
► In the case of extremely frequent use and/or very high current intensity
and/or evident wear, shorten the interval.
The welding torch neck can be fitted with various wear parts depending on
the welding task.
