DESCRIPTION
OCR camera for scanning license plates of vehicles
entering a pay to park area. It can be installed on a post or
wall at a height of about 850 mm from the ground .
Figures show two examples of installation.
Figure is an example of wall installation of the camera.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS

Installation must be carried out by qualified,
experienced personnel in full compliance with
applicable regulations.
Figure shows the electrical connections of the control
panel camera to the control board of the entry station the
input circuit board as well as the ETHERNET connection
with CAT5 cabling and RJ45 connection.

BOLLARD INSTALLATION
Mounting the camera and control panel
- Remove the cap from the post .
- With a drill and hollow bit, drill the into the
post that will mount the camera. Hole diameter:
25 mm, height 850 mm from the ground .
- Drill the post to mount the control panel at an appropriate

height. Hole Diameter: 20 mm centre distance 140 mm .

- Insert the grommet into the hole and attach the two
mounting brackets with the screws being careful to align

the holes .
- Insert the wiring of the camera inside the post and fix
the camera with the four screws .
- Remove the power supply from the control panel by
unscrewing the two screws .
- Fit the plate on the back of the control unit and mark the
outline of the two holes onto the control panel .
- Drill a top hole of Ø 20 mm and a bottom hole of Ø 15 mm
through the control panel and fit the two grommets .
- Refit the power supply onto the control panel .
- Fit the four screws for mounting the control panel to the
plate into the four holes of the latter and fix it to the set
of anchoring brackets by screwing the four screws. The
holes must be aligned .
- Connect the CAT5 cable with the splice and the power
cables to the control panel, making them pass through
the control panel grommet. Attach the control panel on
the plate with the screws .
- Make the electrical connections on the control panel .
- Secure the control unit cover with the four screws .
- Replace the cap on the post .
WALL MOUNTING
Securing the camera
- Drill holes into the wall respecting the measurements
(distances) considering that the camera should be
positioned approximately 850 mm above the ground.
- Secure with suitable screws and wall anchors .

- Remove the two knock-out circles from the control
panel and fit the grommets .

- Insert the corrugated tubing into the control panel
and make all electrical connections .
- Mount and secure the control panel cover .
CAMERA PROGRAMMING
At
the
first
installation
you
set the static IP address assigned to the camera, adjust
the brightness and the optical regulation (zoom), and
properly orient the camera.
Minimise camera horizontal and vertical fields of view
positioning the camera in a place protected against
accidental impacts.
Access the camera programming menu via the browser
by typing the current IP address of the camera (default IP:
http://192.0.2.3 or IP on the camera label).
At first use, your browser may require you to install an
add-in for live-view streaming. Accept the installation
prompt and continue.
From the camera programming web page set the static IP
address assigned to the camera and make the necessary
adjustments (for parameter settings see the online Help).
Once you have completed camera programming you may
want to write down the IP address ❽, with the respective
location ❾ within the circuit, in the dedicated spaces .

The camera is dedicated to decoding of vehicle
number plates and cannot be used for different purposes.
Setting the IP address and lens parameters
Do not change any other parameters other than those
specifically mentioned.
The useful parameters are located in the two Setup
menus: Network Setup and Easy Setup.
Setting IP address
When connected, select: Setup - Network Setup.
The screen page will appear . Carefully enter the
necessary settings and select Save.
The camera will reboot and reconnect, select the new IP
address in the search line of your browser.
Setting the optic parameters
When connected, select Setup - Easy Setup.

Select BrightNow, wait for automatic adjustment to
end, and select Start Autofocus and wait for automatic
adjustment to end.
After preliminary adjustment, correctly set the optical
zoom, with the cursor in the Zoom window, visible in the
Easy Setup menu.

Repeat the procedure if you need to you adjust the
position of the camera and its settings. Set parameters
are saved automatically.
DEFAULT RESET
To restore the factory settings of a programmed camera,
proceed as follows:
- Disconnect the electrical supply.
- Place a magnet ❿ (not supplied) above the camera,
using the central axis ⓫, and hold it in place .
- Power the camera and wait 5".
- Remove the magnet ❿ .
Decommissioning and disposal - Before proceeding, it is always
advisable to check specifi c regulations in force in the place of
installation.
Packaging components (cardboard, plastic etc.) can
be disposed of together with normal household waste without
any diffi culty, by simply separating the diff erent types of waste
and recycling them. Other components (circuit boards, remote
control batteries etc.), on the other hand, may contain pollutants.
They should therefore be removed and handed over to companies
authorised to recover and recycle them.
