Transport and handling
All the appliances in the Vort NRG range come with
special eyebolts for lifting. Lifting operations must be
carried out using a sling system as shown in figure 2
so as to avoid any damage to the side panels.
During transport and handling, the appliance must be
kept upright and under no circumstances be turned
upside down or be inclined.
model is shown in the table in figure 3.
Installation
The ducting fixed to the intake and outlet ports must
have the same cross-section (see dimensions fig 3).
Once fitted, the ducting must be fixed to the intake
and outlet ports using clamps or other suitable
means.
It is not recommended that you use ducting with
bends in the immediate vicinity of the appliance, as
the flow of air generated requires a straight section at
least 3 or 4 times the equivalent diameter of the duct
to reduce the vertical air flow to normal.
The product is dynamically and statically balanced to
ISO 1940 grade 6.3 however the use of anti-vibration
suipports at the base of the unit is recommended.
Check that both the filters are locked in place by their
safety tabs (fig.4).
Once the appliance has been installed in the correct
position, connect it to the ducting system, connect
the power supply to the terminal boxes and fasten the
condensation drainage pipes on the air outlet side (fig
5: Ht = total pressure in Pa).
The configurations of motors and inlet/outlet nozzles
can differ (fig.6,7: A= standard configuration); no
other configuration is authorised by Vortice.
Ceiling installation
The installation instructions below must be followed:
1.Check that the ceiling where the appliance is to
befitted is strong enough to bear its weight;
2 Make sure that the system used for anchoring the
appliance does not interfere with the structural
rigidity of the ceiling where the appliance is to be
mounted;
3.Use properly tightened fittings that are strong
enough to bear the weight of the appliance and that
are suited to the type of ceiling. The fittings must
also be able to withstand vibration and not work
loose over time.
The appliance is fitted with mounting brackets (to be
fitted) at each corner where chains or threaded rods
can be attached to facilitate ceiling mounting and
levelling (also useful for removing the appliance from
its packaging).
For models 500 and 800 use the brackets provided;
for models from 1200 to 6000 use suitable brackets
(fig.8,9).
The weight of each
Floor installation
For floor mounting, a suitable support system must
be used that allows filters to be inspected.
Operation
The appliance operates in continuous mode and has
a switch that sets it to run at 75% of normal speed.

Maintenance/Cleaning
Before commencing any operation, make sure that the
appliance is disconnected from the power supply and
the blades have stopped turning. Dismantling and
assembly are special maintenance operations and
must be carried out by qualified personnel only.
Filter maintenance
Checking the state of filters
Checks for clogged filters can be carried out by
connecting a differential pressure sensor to the
pressure couplings near the filters on the bottom of
the appliance; The maximum permitted pressure drop
for F5 and F7 filters is 100 Pa more than the initial
value measured on new filters.
Inspecting from the side of the appliance:
Using the special key provided, turn the "filter
inspection panel" lock to the left and remove the
panel.
Check the condition of the filter, and replace it if
necessary.
Inspecting from below:
Unscrew the fastening knobs on the "Filter inspection
panel" and remove the panel.
Grip the handle on the filter, unfasten the clips holding
it, then pull downwards.
Recommended maintenance intervals :
Filter replacement: varies from 15 to a maximum of
60 days depending on pollution levels in the air (dust,
fumes, etc.)
N.B. Failing to clean or replace filters has a significant
effect on the efficiency of the system with:
- increased loss of load in the air circulation system
and reduced air flow;
- subsequent drop in system performance and in
comfort levels.
