Passenger Side Frame Rail
A) Puncture and remove protective tape covering openings on outside of the
passenger side frame rail.
B) Disconnect electrical wire harness retainer clip attached to passenger side
rail with a flathead screwdriver. Be careful not to damage wire harness.
• Note: Repeat on driver side (gas model only).

Loosely Bolt Side Plates into Position
A) Tape M12 flat washers to the inside
of the side plates as shown in figure A.
B) Note the hardware configuration of the side plates in figure B.
• Note: Be sure teeth on conical washers
are facing away from the bolt head.
• Note: Run bolt through handle nut before installation.

Trim excess mastic before
installing side plates (if it will
cause an interference with install).
