6. To make it easier to attach the cartridge, the O-ring on the head of the cartridge may be slightly
moistened with water or cooking oil.
7. Empty the tub of the dishwasher connected to the osmosis unit. Switch the dishwasher and osmosis
unit on with the ON/OFF button. When the dishwasher tank is empty, the osmosis unit will start
supplying osmotized water. Allow the osmosis unit to filter water for approximately 5 minutes.
Then, drain the water from the tank again.
8. Turn the osmosis unit off and leave it to stand for 20 minutes for the hydrogen peroxide to act as a
bactericide.
Important: If the osmosis unit is not to be used for more than 6 months, the following is not necessary.
9. Turn both the dishwasher and osmosis unit back on and let the osmosis unit supply osmotized water
for 5 minutes. The water from the tank must be discarded, as it will have a high content of waste
and oxygenated water.
10. Then install the pre-filter as described in section 5.3.
Prolonged non-use of the osmosis unit.
After disinfecting the appliance, turn off the osmosis unit supply stopcock. Store the osmosis unit
in a clean and dry place at temperatures between 5 and 30ºC. Repeat the disinfection process
every 6 months of non-use.
