19.6 Notes for addressing DIALOCK 2.0 - readers
When using two readers on an RS485 connection (max. four readers possible on one
controller), these must have different addresses in order to be recognised individually.
The addresses are set using a specially pre-programmed configuration transponder #20
(art. 917.42.020).
The addresses of the readers can be set with this configuration transponder. The address
is set immediately after the power supply is applied to the reader and the configuration
transponder is held in front of it at the same time.
The addresses of the readers must be assigned continuously, i.e. with two readers,
the addresses "1" and "2" must be set.
If a wrong address was assigned by mistake, the process must be repeated.
In order for the set addresses to be recognised by the controller, a "power-up" must be carried
out after connecting and addressing the readers. In this case, the power supply voltage at the
controller is interrupted for a short time.
Reader 1 (delivery condition)
1. Hold the reader configuration transponder #20 in front of the reader, at the same time,
interrupt the
power supply of the reader for a short time and restore it.
2. The green LED flashes once.
3. Take the configuration transponder out of the detection area.
4. The red and green LEDs light up. The address adjustment of reader 1 is complete
Reader 2
1. Hold the reader configuration transponder #20 in front of the reader, at the same time,
interrupt the power supply of the reader for a short time and restore it.
2. The green LED flashes once.
3. Hold the configuration transponder in front of the reader.
4. The green LED flashes twice.
5. Take the configuration transponder out of the detection area.
6. The red and green LEDs light up. The address of reader 2 is now set.
