Specialists are:
• Experts in the mounting of electronic access control systems with the adequate level of
professional training, knowledge and experience to recognise and avoid hazards that may
arise in connection with their work and its outcomes.
Qualified electrician
Qualified electricians are:
• Skilled persons who, on the basis of their technical training, knowledge and experience as
well as knowledge of the relevant standards on electrical engineering, can assess the work
assigned to them and recognise possible hazards emanating from electricity.
Operating personnel
Operating personnel are those with locking authorisation. Operating personnel are trained on:
• Safe and proper handling of the product
• Responsible use of locking authorisations
• The emergency opening option
The operating personnel instruct the user (guest) in the following:
• Opening the door with the user key
• Use of the "Do not disturb" function (if available)
• The presence of the emergency opening option
2.5 General safety instructions
The product has been built in accordance with the latest state of technology and the
recognised technical safety regulations. Nevertheless, danger to persons or damage to the
product or other property could occur during installation and use.

Risk due to fatality due to lack of emergency opening facility
If the product is installed without an emergency opening facility, it may not be possible
to open the door from the outside in the event of fault. If emergencies occur inside the
room during the fault, rescue work will be hindered.
• The operator must ensure that doors to which this product is fitted have an
emergency opening facility in the event of faults.
• Häfele is not liable for damage that is attributable to failure to install an emergency
opening facility.
