Possible cause
Different types of food
may need to be shaken
halfway during cooking.
You used a type of snacks
that should be cooked in
a traditional deep fryer.
The ingredients are too
greasy, too much oil or fat
is added.
The basket still contains
grease residue from pre-
vious use.
You haven't used the right
potato type.
You haven't soaked the
potato sticks and dry them
properly before frying.
The crispness of the fries
depends on the amount
of oil and water in the fries
Solution
Shake food halfway during the cooking
time.
Use oven snacks or lightly brush some oil
onto the snacks for a crispier result.
When you fry greasy ingredients, oil will
leak into the basket. The oil produces
white smoke and the baskets may heat
up. This does not affect the cooking re-
sult.
Clean the baskets properly after and be-
fore each use.
Use potatoes for fries.
Soak the potato sticks properly to remove
starch from the potato sticks and dry them
well before frying.
Make sure the potato sticks have been
dried properly before adding the oil.
Cut the potato sticks smaller for a crispier
result.
Add slightly more oil for a crispier result.
