Description
The Greenlee SM-100 Sound Meter is a hand-held testing device intended to
measure sound levels from 35 dB to 130 dB, from 31.5 Hz to 8 kHz. The
frequency-weighted response and response times are in accordance with the
requirements of IEC 651/ANSI S1.4 for Type 2 sound level meters.
Specialized functions and capabilities include:
• Two measurement scales: A-weighted scale (for common sounds) and
C-weighted scale (for low frequency sounds).
• AC and DC signal output for interfacing with a frequency analyzer, level
recorder, FFT analyzer, graphic recorder, etc.
• Three response modes: Slow (slow response time, for recording
continuous sounds), Fast (fast response time, for capturing short bursts or
intermittent noise), and Maximum Hold (for holding the maximum
measured sound level on the display).
• Tripod mount: A threaded hole (1/4–20 UNC) provides a method for tripod
mounting for long-term temperature measurement.
