Compatible cookware
Induction requires pots and pans that
are made of ferrous (meaning magne-
tic) materials.
Check your cookware's retail box for
the induction symbol:
To tell if your current cookware is com-
patible with the induction technology,
grab a magnet and see if it holds to the
bottom of the cookware. If your magnet
stays on then your cookware is ready to
be used on the Induction cooktop!
Optimally the cookware will have this
induction image on the retail box:
The following are not compatible: he-
at-resistant glass, ceramic, copper,
aluminium pan/pots, round-bottomed
cookware, or cookware with a base less
than 10 cm.
Cleaning and Maintenance
ROUTINE CLEANING
Use a microfibre cloth to remove dust
from the surface. Wash the Lapitec
worktop with hot water, to which you
may add the manufacturer's recom-
mended dose of Fila Cleaner or an equi-
valent mild detergent.
Rinse with clean water and dry with a
cloth.
For best results, we recommend clea-

ning any stains immediately, without
letting them dry.
WHAT NOT TO DO
Do not use waxes, oily soaps, sealers or
other treatments. Some commercial-
ly available detergents contain wax or
polish additives that can leave an oily
film on the surface after several appli-
cations, affecting the cleanliness and
appearance of the Lapitec
.
®
Avoid using ceramic knives or other
objects that are as hard as Lapitec
they could affect the surface.
Do not use scouring pads that could
scratch the surface. It is better to choo-
se pads such as Scotch-Brite blue non-
scratch sponges. Do not hit the surface
with pointed or heavy metal objects, as
they could chip or, occasionally, break
the material. Remember that the edges
are the most sensitive part of the top.
REGENERATIVE CLEANING
When routine cleaning is not enou-
gh, specific procedures are required,
depending on the nature of the stain
to be removed. In these cases, using a
recommended aggressive product will
not affect the beauty of the surface. The
amount of time the stain remains on
the surface is very important, so we re-
®
commend cleaning as soon as possible.
Tip: Start cleaning on a small part of
the area to check its effectiveness befo-
re applying it to the whole surface. Ne-
ver use concentrated hydrochloric acid,
caustic soda or products that contain
hydrofluoric acid and its derivatives.
User Manual
As you can see, it is very easy to keep
your Lapitec
surface as perfect as the
®
first day. However, if you could not find
a solution to your problem, or if you
have any doubts about which product
to use, the Lapitec
service will be happy to help.
Never run the cooktop under water.
Note
It is very important that you DO NOT
use the cooktop until it has been tho-
, as
roughly cleaned.
®
WARNING
Damage to the surface may occur if
you use scrub pads or any other type of
abrasive cleaning materials.
Note
If cracks or indentations in the surfa-
ce occurs, the cooktop will have to be
replaced. Contact the manufacturer for
assistance.
