No electric connections may be made to the right-hand 4-pin

Installing the transmitter in explosion-hazard areas of
zone 2
Between the transmitter and the central controller, fit a safety barrier or
a power supply with the relevant explosion protection approval (device
category 3).
Only safety barriers or power supply units with the following
characteristic values may be used: U

≤ 5.32 W or FISCO-compliant units.

Ensure that the safety barrier or the power supply comply with the
maximum capacitance and inductance that can be connected to the
supply device (taking into account the line). The safety-related input
parameters of the transmitter are: C

CAUTION
!
The category 1 marking has to be cut out from the rating-plate
label. Once the unit has been used after installation in the
above manner, it may never be installed in underground
mines susceptible to firedamp or explosion-hazard areas of
zone 0 or zone 1 (device category 1 or 2). Explosion hazard!

Installing the transmitter in non explosion-hazard areas
CAUTION
!
The explosion-protection marking has to be removed from the
transmitter. Once the transmitter has been used after
installation in this manner, it may never be installed in
explosion-hazard areas. Explosion hazard!

Installing to the central controller
Connect shielding to ground of central controller or segment
coupler or link (e.g. housing, earthing bar, etc.).
CAUTION
!
With PROFIBUS devices, the shielding may be connected to
ground only on one end of the cable.
