Connect the Gas Supply Line
Depending of model a combination of fittings and pipes must be
used to connect the stove to the existing gas supply line. Your
connection may be different than the diagram below, according
to the supply line type, size, location and Range model.
1. To connect your stove use the material specified on the
diagram below.
3/8" NPT to 3/8" brass
pipe fitting Hex. adapter
Gas Inlet Tube Fitting
Integrated to the range
NOTE: The material shown for installation is not provided with the range.
NOTE: The range could be equipped from the factory with one of the following accessories:
1. Gas Inlet Tube Fitting or
2. Shut Off Gas Valve.
Outlet 5/8" flared
2. Once you have connected the stove to the gas supply
line, TURN ON the shutoff valve and test all connections
by brushing on an approved noncorrosive leak-detection
solution. Bubbles will show a leak. Correct any leak found.
3. Check the cooper piping for kinks or other damage so the
gas flows freely throw the pipe.
IMPORTANT: DON'T USE A LIGHTER TO LOOK FOR GAS
LEAKS.
DON'T USE PLASTIC HOSES FOR THE CONNECTION TO
THE SUPPLY LINE, EVEN THE FLEXIBLE METAL TUBING,
LEAKS MAY OCCUR.
For the Range model with full oven control follow below
mentioned instructions:
1. Apply pipe-joint compound made for use with propane gas
to the smaller thread ends of the flexible connector adapters
(see B and F in the illustration under step 3).
2. Attach one adapter to the gas pressure regulator and the
other adapter to the gas shutoff valve. Tighten both adapters,
being certain not to move or turn the gas pressure regulator.
3. Use a 15/16" combination wrench and an adjustable wrench
to attach the flexible connector to the adapters.
IMPORTANT: All connections must be wrench tightened. Do not
make connections to the gas regulator too tight.
Making the connections too tight may crack the regulator and
cause a gas leak. Do not allow the regulator to turn when
tightening fittings. Use a connection fitting male 1/2" to Range
(see A).
