8. For .9 version:
Use wrench for retainer plate to loosen the retainer plate
(E) counterclockwise; remove the retainer plate (E) and
the diaphragm (F).
9. Check all parts for contamination and clean the parts if
necessary.
10. Mounting the new valve springs (M):
11. Check the pretension of the valve springs; to do this, hold
the valve springs lengthwise between two fingers and
press the valve springs together very lightly.
12. Place the valve springs (M) on the valve seat of the head
plate (C). The slight curvature of the valve spring caused
by the pretension must face the head plate (C).
13. Tighten the valve fastening screw (W) with a screw driver.
14. Place the valve spring (M) on the valve seat of the inter-
mediate plate (D). The slight curvature of the valve spring
caused by the pretension must face the intermediate plate
(D).
15. Place the washer (X) on the valve fastening screw (W).
Then tighten the valve fastening screw (W) with a screw
driver.
16. Check whether the valve springs are properly seated.
17. Insert the new O-rings (B) in the head plate (C).
18. Mount the diaphragm with the retainer plate.
19. For all pumps except .9 version:
Place the retainer plate (E) on the diaphragm (F) and
tighten it with the new countersunk screw (L) (tightening
torque: 5.0 Nm).
The self-locking countersunk screw (L) can only be used
once.
20. For .9 version:
Place the retainer plate (E) on the diaphragm (F) and
tighten it clockwise with the wrench for the retainer plate
(tightening torque: 5.0 Nm).
21. Turn the flywheel (I) to move the connecting rod (K) to the
middle position.
