2.1 Functional description
The GLS-1000 is used for the detection of limit levels in liquids. A
permanent magnet built into the float triggers, with its magnetic field, a
magnetic-field-dependent semiconductor.
Activation of the semiconductor triggers a change in the switching state
"open" or "closed" of the PNP/NPN switching output signal.
The permanent magnet is located within a float, which changes its
height with the level of the medium it is monitoring. The number and
arrangement of floats is dependent on the number of the defined switch
points, their output function and also the distance between the switch
points.
The float switch model GLS-1000 is suitable for liquids such as oils,
water, distilled water, aqueous and foaming media.
