VCI LED Descriptions
VCI Installation Procedure
1. Turn PC on and allow Windows
2. Insert the VCI CD into the CD reader. If the install does not automatically initiate, open the Run utility from the
start menu and enter:
(your CD drive):\setup.exe
Example: D:\setup.exe
3. Select a language from the list of choices offered in the drop down menu. Click OK.
Power LED
This LED lights solid green when the VCI is
powered on from either the vehicle or an AC
adapter.
Host Communication LED
This LED lights solid green when
communication is established with the host
computer and when data is actively being
exchanged.
Vehicle Communication LED
This green LED flashes when the VCI
communicates to the vehicle.
Road Test LED
This LED lights solid orange when a road test
trigger is connected to the port that supports
the road test mode. An external trigger input
allows the user to initiate a recording event
when the VCI is used in road test mode.
