SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety

precautions should always be followed inclu-
ding the following:
a) Read all instructions.

b) Portable – To protect against risk of electri-

Permanently Installed – Make sure appliance
is OFF when not in use, before putting on or
taking off parts, and before cleaning.
e) Avoid contacting moving parts. Do not at-

tempt to defeat any safety interlock mechanis-
ms. (The

ce does not have any interlocks.)
Keep hands, hair, clothing, as well as spatulas
•
and other utensils away from beaters during
operation to reduce the risk of injury to per-
sons, or damage to the mixer.
f) Portable – Do not operate any appliance with

a damaged cord or plug or after the applian-
ce malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in
any manner. Contact the manufacturer at their
customer service telephone number for infor-
mation on examination, repair, or adjustment.

must be stated in the instruction manual, litera-
ture contained within the product's packaging
or permanently marked on the appliance).
Exception No. 1: If the manufacturer elects, a

customer service email address or a website
with a contact form may be used instead of a
domestic customer service telephone number.

i) Portable – Do not let cord hang over edge of

table or counter.
j) Hand-held, other than cordless types – Do

not let cord contact hot surface, including the
stove.
k) Remove beaters from mixer before was-
•
