POSSIBLE CAUSE
Tripped overload protector in
PowerMate
®
. See OVERLOAD
PROTECTOR (page 15).
Handle switch set to FLOOR
position.
Wrong pile height setting.
Suction too strong.
Dirty power cord.
Cord jammed.
Wrong vacuuming pattern.
POSSIBLE SOLUTION
Remove any items that may be caught or
jammed, then re-start. If vacuum cleaner
starts and stops again, clean brushroll and
end caps, then re-start.
Slide handle switch to CARPET position to
activate PowerMate
Adjust setting.
Reduce suction by turning suction control
on handle base to open airflow hole.
Clean the power cord.
Pull out cord and rewind.
