- Place the fitting cone (4) on a flat surface, with the wider part resting on the plane; fit in the outer
clutch cover and press thoroughly (see fig. 2). This will allow the cover rim to be properly aligned.
- Place the fitting cone (4) on the outer main shaft.
- Remove the long crosspiece and (6) the limit stop (8).
Warning: Lubricate only the exterior of the outer clutch cover (where seal occurs) with
a thin oil film.
- Turn the outer cover upside down and fit it onto the cone (4) (see fig. 3).
- Press the cover all the way down; press uniformly and only as much as needed, to avoid damaging
the outer main shaft support and the gearbox.
- Install the snap ring of the outer clutch cover by using a screwdriver.
MECHATRONIC UNIT REMOVAL
Warning: remove the mechatronic unit according to the instructions supplied by the vehicle
manufacturer.
- When removing the mechatronic unit, use the tool (7) to maintain the gearbox in the correct position.
MECHATRONIC UNIT ASSEMBLY
Warning: Assemble the mechatronic unit according to the instructions supplied by the
vehicle manufacturer.
- When installing the mechatronic unit, use the tool (7) and the guides (9) to maintain the gearbox in the
correct position.
