VISOR ( NJS-08)

VISOR DISASSEMBLY
To disassemble the visor first remove the lateral latches and (if assembled) the peak -
see instructions above.
5.1. Open the visor completely (Fig. 7).
5.2. Push the release lever of the left side mechanism completely upwards moving it
over the side trim (Fig. 8) and pull the visor away from the helmet (Fig. 9).
5.3. Release the release lever and replace it downwards in its original position moving
it over side trim.
5.4. Follow the same steps on the right side of the helmet.

VISOR ASSEMBLY
6.1. Place the left side of the visor on the corresponding side mechanism centring the
side hole of the visor on the mechanism itself (Fig. 9).
6.2. Push the release lever of the mechanism completely upwards moving it over the
side trim and press the visor against the side mechanism (Fig. 8, 9).
6.3. Disengage the release lever and replace it downwards in its original position mov-
ing it over the side trim. Then check that the visor remains attached to the mech-
anism by pulling it outwards.
6.4. Follow the same steps on the right side of the helmet.
6.5. If desired, replace the peak above the visor, and finally always replace both lateral
latches (see instructions above).
6.6. Close the visor completely.
WARNING
-
Make sure that the mechanisms are working properly. Open and close the visor
making sure that the mechanisms hold it in the different positions.
If necessary, repeat the above-mentioned steps.

If the peak is assembled over the visor check the proper functioning as described
previously.
-
Do not use the helmet if the visor and the lateral latches have not been assembled
properly.
-
Do not remove the side mechanisms from the shell.
-
Should any of the side mechanisms fail or be damaged, please refer to a Nolan-
group authorized dealer.
REMOVABLE PROTECTIVE CHIN GUARD
7.
REMOVABLE PROTECTIVE CHIN GUARD RELEASE
7.1. Open the visor completely..
7.2. Pull the right and left chin guard release levers downwards and at the same time
remove the chin guard from the helmet by pulling it outwards (Fig. 10).
WARNING
Every time you wish to release the chin guard to use your helmet in the jet configuration,
insert the right and left chin guard locking slot covers (chin guard covers) in the slots on
the right and left side frames and push them towards the inside of the helmet until you
hear a fastening click (Fig. 11).

NOTE: The left and right chin guard covers are different from each other and are marked
on their back as "DX" (right) and "SX" (left).
8.
REMOVABLE PROTECTIVE CHIN GUARD FASTENING
Before fastening the chin guard to the helmet, remove the chin guard covers by per-
forming the following operations:
8.1. Open the visor completely.
8.2. Remove the right and left chin guard covers by pulling them outwards (Fig. 11).
8.3. Insert the right and left chin guard ends simultaneously into the slots on the cor-
responding side frames of the helmet and press the chin guard towards the inside
of the helmet until you hear the fastening click on both sides (Fig. 12).
8.4. Make sure the chin guard is correctly fastened at both ends by gently pulling it
towards the outside of the helmet.
WARNING
-
Never remove or disassemble the semi-rigid inner padding of the protective chin
guard.
-
When the helmet is used without the removable protective chin guard, always
assemble the chin guard covers supplied.
-
If in doubt on how the manual chin guard release device works, please contact a
Nolangroup dealer.

9.
INNER VISOR PINLOCK
ASSEMBLY
®
9.1. Disassemble the visor (see instructions above).
9.2. Make sure that the inner surface of the visor is clean and check that the pin adjust-
ment external levers are turned inwards (Fig. 13).
9.3. Place the PINLOCK
inner visor on the visor.
®
WARNING: The silicone-sealed profile of the PINLOCK
contact with the inner surface of the visor.
9.4. Insert one side of the PINLOCK
position (Fig. 14).
9.5. Widen the visor and fasten the other side of the PINLOCK
ond pin (Fig. 15).
9.6. Release the visor.
9.7. Remove the protective film from the PINLOCK
entire silicone-sealed profile of the inner visor adheres to the visor.
9.8. Fit the visor on the helmet (see instructions above).
CHECKING AND ADJUSTING THE PINLOCK® INNER VISOR STRETCH
Check the correct PINLOCK
inner visor assembly by opening and closing the visor
®
and making sure that they do not move.
If the PINLOCK
inner visor is not tightly fixed to the visor, move both external adjust-
®
ment levers upwards to increase the stretch (Fig. 14). This operation must be carried
out gradually. The maximum stretch is achieved when the pin adjustment external le-
vers are turned outwards.
