TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
Ready Light does not illuminate when
Temperature Control Dial is set to standby.
Grill plates do not get hot.
Grill suddenly stops working.
Top plate does not hold itself up, or is hard
to move up/down.
TEMPERATURE SAFETY SWITCH
This sandwich grill is equipped with a safety feature that shuts
off power to the grill if the unit overheats. If the Temperature
Safety Switch is activated:
1. Determine the caused of activation and correct it.
2. Allow the unit to cool.
3. Remove the cover from the switch on the back of the grill.
Press and release the switch reset button. Replace the cover.
4. Contact Vollrath Technical Services if switch activation
continues.

Serviceable parts are available on vollrathfoodservice.com. To avoid serious injury or damage, never attempt to repair the unit or
replace a damaged power cord yourself. Do not send units directly to The Vollrath Company LLC. Please contact Vollrath Technical
Services for instructions. When contacting Vollrath Technical Services, please be ready with the item number, model number (if
applicable), serial number, and proof of purchase showing the date the unit was purchased.

Potential Cause
Unit is not plugged in.
The Temperature Safety Switch is tripped.
Ready Light malfunctioned.
Voltage from power source (wall outlet) is
low or zero.
Heating element is faulty.
The Temperature Safety Switch may have
activated.
Tensioner is improperly adjusted.

If not, have qualified personnel correct
power problem.
