Do not push the small branches with their hands,
use wooden sticks.
When you enter the branches, make sure the
thicker branches are to be pushed more slowly
than thin.
Do not overfeed and do not feed wet, soggy
material into the shredder as this may clog the
blade chamber and the discharge chute.
7.1.2. CRUSHED TWIGS AND LEAVES
Leaves, twigs, grass and similar materials must be
placed in the crusher in lots intertwined.
Do not open the plastic cover when you add more
material.
Do not push the leaves and similar material with
their hands, use wooden sticks.
7.2. OBSTRUCTION
7.2.1. FILLING PORT OBSTRUCTION
Never put your hands into the input hopper until the
machine has been turned off and the blades have
stopped rotating.
Pieces of wood that get stuck transversely in the input
hopper should only be removed when the blades have
stopped rotating.
In case the rotor is blocked by a piece of wood:
- Turn off the machine switch, remove the rotor shaft
housing and turn the rotor a few degrees with a
wrench.
- Then, remove the piece in a transverse position with
a stick or long-reaching object.
CAUTION: NEVER PUT YOUR HANDS INTO THE
ROTOR.
8. MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE
Priors to any maintenance, to stop engine and switch
it off first.
Disconnect spark plug wire from the spark plug to
prevent unintentional engine starting.
Unintentional sparking can result in fire.
Unintentional start-up can result in entanglement,
traumatic amputation or laceration.
Use only genuine replacement engine parts. Non
compliant parts may damage the engine, and may
result in injury. In addition, use of other parts may void
your warranty rights.
8.1. CHANGING THE BLADES
Change blades as soon as chipping performance
begins to decline, or if you notice nicks or cracks.
