Safety tips for cooking
Using a Wok
INFORMATION!
Do not use an after-market stove top grill on your gas surface burners. A stove top grill will cause
incomplete combustion resulting in carbon monoxide levels exceeding permitted standards.
Use quality cookware with a flat and stable bottom.
When using special cookware, observe the cookware manufacturer's
instructions.
Make sure the pots and pans are placed in the middle of the cooking
zone.
Pan bottom diameter should be equal to the burner diameter.
Do not place wet cookware in the cooking zone.
Use only a flat-bottomed wok with a diameter of 14 inches or less.
Make sure the wok bottom fits well on the grate.
Do not use a wok support ring. Placing a ring on the cooktop may
cause the burner to operate incorrectly, which in turn can result in
levels of carbon monoxide in excess of permitted standards. This
can be harmful to your health.
