Troubleshooting
Problem
Cause
The motor does not
• The throttle knob is in the STOP position.

• Not enough fuel.
• The oil level is very low or has no oil.
• The fuel does not reach the injector. If the
equipment was operated until all the fuel in the
tank was consumed, the fuel line could have air
bubbles that prevent it from reaching the injector.
The engine starts but
• Oil level is too low.

• The air filter is blocked.
The pump does not
• The pump is not primed.

• The speed of the pump is very low.
• The filter is blocked.
• Suction hose outside of water source.

If the problems persist despite taking the recommended corrective actions,

Solution
• Place the knob in the START position and
tighten.
• Add fuel to the fuel tank.
• Add oil to the oil tank.
• To remove air bubbles:
1. Slightly loosen the lower connection of the fuel
line (A).
2. Lower the decompressor lever (B).
3. Gently pull on the rope handle until you see
fuel coming out of the loosened connection.
4. Firmly tighten the connection.
5. Now loosen the upper fuel line connection (C)
and repeat steps 2, 3 and 4.
• Check the engine oil level as indicated on page
10. Start the engine again.
• Clean or replace the air filter.
• Purge the pump as directed on page 9.
• Check inlet hose and connections, replace or
tighten if necessary.
• Put the throttle knob all the way to the START
position.
• Remove obstructions from the filter.
• Place the end of the hose below the water
level.
• Straighten the hose out.
• Do not exceed 6 m suction height.
• Go to a
Center.
