7.2.10 Cleaning the pop-up roof
•
To service the gusset, we recommend applying a waterproofing product.
•
The gusset must be aired several times a year to prevent a musty smell.
•
The gusset must never be closed when damp or wet. If you have to close it when damp or wet, it must be completely dried
as soon as possible.
•
Before winter, the rubber seal of the roof shell must be coated with talc or a similar product to avoid it sticking to the
bodywork due to frost.
•
The fastening nuts and all moveable parts of the lock must be greased to preserve their pliancy.
7.3 Cleaning the exterior
7.3.1 Washing the bodywork
The bodywork of your campervan consists of different materials, each requiring specific maintenance in order to guarantee its
performance over time.
Note: only use soft sponges and cloths. Never use abrasive pads or detergents. Avoid extensive use of a water blaster as it can
damage certain parts of the bodywork (seals, plastic parts, etc.).
