according to EN 615577-2:
Input protection:
The insulation resistance measuring function is disabled when the input voltage
is 30 V AC/ DC or greater.
7.2 Low resistance measuring range (switch setting Ω 200 mA)
Measuring range
20 Ω
Analog bargraph display: 0 to 100 Ω and infinity
Test current:
Open-circuit voltage:
Number of measurements
according to EN 615577-4: about 4000
Zero compensation of the measuring cables up to 10 Ω.

7.3 Resistance measuring range and acoustic continuity testing
(Switch setting:  )
Measuring range
2000 Ω
Analog bargraph display:
Accuracy:
The internal buzzer sounds when the resistance R  30 .
Test current:
Input protection: 0.5 A (1000 V AC/ DC) - fuse, quick blow
7.4 Voltage measuring range
(Switch setting: V
For AC (alternating voltage) the measured value is obtained by mean value
rectification and displayed as r.m.s. value. The specified accuracy for AC
measurements is based on the sinusoidal waveform.
Measuring range
1000 V AC/ DC
Frequency range:
Analog bargraph display: 0 to 1000 V
Accuracy:
Optical warning that a dangerous voltage is applied as from 30 V AC/ DC.
7.5 Measuring the battery capacity
(switch setting:
In accordance with EN 61557, the battery capacity is measured by connecting a
simulated load. Percentage indication from 0 - 100 % in 10 % steps.

Making measurements with the BENNING IT 100

8.1 Preparations for making measurements
Operate and store the BENNING IT 100 only at the specified storage and ope-
rating temperatures. Avoid continuous insolation.
-
Check the nominal voltages and nominal current on the safety measuring
cables. The nominal voltage and current ratings of the safety measuring
cables included in the scope of delivery correspond to the ratings of the
BENNING IT 100.
-
Check the insulation of the safety measuring cables. Discard the safety
measuring cables immediately if the insulation is damaged.
-
Strong sources of interference in the vicinity of the BENNING IT 100 can
lead to unstable readings and measuring errors.
