WARNING: Wear a disposable mask,
gloves, and eye protection while operating
machine. For some units with filters, a full
face mask, and goggles are required.
SAFETY CHECKLIST:
Always wear safety goggles and hard toe
shoes when operating this equipment.
Never place any part of the body in front
of the Surface Cleaner or aim the unit
toward any part of the body. Keep all
people (except operator) a minimum of
five (5) feet away from the machine during
operation.
Never let the Unit run unattended even for
a brief moment. Turn off the pressure
washer when the machine is to be left
unattended.
Only use or operate the machine on level
ground. Do not use on unsupported,
elevated surfaces (for example, ladders).
Never allow children or inexperienced
operators to operate or repair the Surface
Cleaner.
Never allow anyone to operate this
machine unless the person is well
acquainted with the rules of safe operation.
Make certain that the area to be cleaned is
clear of obstructions.

Karcher Surface Cleaner A+ SC21

Tool Application:
Surface Cleaner A+ 21" is used most for outdoor residential
cleaning jobs – decks, driveways, etc.
Cleaning Tips:
- Set the Pressure washer and Surface Cleaner on the surface to be cleaned.
- Make sweeping motions with the Handle, slowly moving back and forth,
pointing away from your body. Keeping the Surface Cleaner moving and clear
any obstructions to avoid scoring the surface.
- Be sure to not tangle the hose in the head of the surface cleaner
Tool Operation:

Check the machine to make sure all the Hoses and connections are

undamaged and suitable for use. Have all safety equipment ready for
use. (Eye & Ear Protection)
Attach the Pressure Washer Hose to the Handle of the Surface

making sure that the hose is connected properly.
Attach the Water hose to the inlet side of the pressure washer and

turn on water supply.

Ensure all connections are secure.
Start the pressure washer following its startup instructions. Test the

surface cleaner to see that is it operating properly.
Make sweeping motions with the Handle, slowly moving back and
forth, pointing away from your body. Keeping the Surface Cleaner

moving and clear any obstructions to avoid scoring the surface.
Walk slowly behind the unit, cleaning as you go. If striping occurs,

slow down the pace. Do not allow machine to remain stationary on
soft surfaces such as wood.
Incorrect Operation Of This Unit Can Cause Serious Injury!

Do Not Alter Or Modify This Equipment In Any Manner!
CAUTION: NEVER OPERATE THE UNIT IF IT BEGINS TO VIBRATE!

Shutdown the unit and tighten the rotating bar, bolts and fittings.
Use only attachments specifically designed for the appliance. The

use of other attachments can affect the safety of the appliance.
