Make sure that the base of the cookware is smooth, sits flat on the hob and is the same size as
the cooking area. If smaller diameter cookware is used, efficiency may be lower than expected.
Always place the cookware in the centre of the cooking area.
Always lift the cookware, do not slide it as this may scratch the glass.
Only use cookware with a base suitable for induction, look for the symbol on the packaging or on
the bottom of the cookware.
A magnet can be used to check the cookware. If the magnet is attracted to the base, then the
cookware is suitable for induction.
Some cookware is not suitable for induction because only certain parts of the bottom are made of
magnetic material. Areas with no magnetic material may heat up differently, resulting in poorly
cooked food. Occasionally, the hob may not recognize the cookware and the cooking area in
question may fail to switch on.
