Arc detachment voltage
Allows you to set the voltage value at which the electric
arc switch-off is forced.
It permits improved management of the various operat-
ing conditions that occur. In the spot welding phase,
for example, a low arc detachment voltage reduces
re-striking of the arc when moving the electrode away
from the piece, reducing spatter, burning and oxidisa-
tion of the piece.
If using electrodes that require high voltages, you are
advised to set a high threshold to prevent arc extinction
during welding.
Never set an arc detachment voltage higher than
the no-load voltage of the power source.
Parameter set in Volts (V).
Minimum 0.0V, Maximum 99.9V, Default std 57.0V,
Default cls 70V
6
Antisticking enable
Permits enabling or disabling of the antisticking function.
The antisticking function permits reduction of the weld-
ing current to 0A in the event of a short circuit occurring
between the electrode and the piece, protecting the
gun, electrode and welder and guaranteeing safety in
the condition that has occurred.
ON Antisticking active
OFF Antisticking not active
7
Arc force cut-in threshold
Permits adjustment of the voltage value at which the
power source supplies the current increase typical of
the arc force.
Allows you to obtain different arc dynamics:
Low threshold: infrequent use of arc-force creates a
very stable but not very reactive arc (ideal for expert
welders and for easy-to-weld electrodes).
High threshold: frequent use of arc-force creates a
slightly more unstable but very reactive arc, able to cor-
rect user errors or compensate for the electrode char-
acteristics (ideal for inexpert welders and for difficult-to-
weld electrodes).
Parameter set in Volts (V).
Minimum 0.0V, Maximum 99.9V, Default 8.0V
8
Dynamic power control (DPC)
It enables the desired V/I characteristic to be selected.
I = C Constant current
The increase or reduction in arc length has no effect on
the welding current required.
Basic, Rutile, Acid, Steel, Cast iron
1÷ 20* Falling characteristic with adjustable slope
The increase in arc length causes a reduction in welding
current (and vice versa) according to the value imposed
by 1 to 20 amps per volt.
Cellulose, Aluminium
P = C* Constant power
The increase in arc length causes a reduction in the
welding current (and vice versa) according to the law:
V.I = K.
Cellulose, Aluminium
*
Increasing the value of the arc force to reduce the risks
of sticking of the electrode.
