5.3 Manual colour adjustment
GB
Set the DIP switches 7 and 8 to ON.
With the other DIP switches, select the
LEDs for red (switches 1 and 2), green
(switches 3 and 4), and blue (switches 5
and 6) separately and adjust their bright -
ness – see fig. 5 below.
R = red, G = green, B = blue
Example for manual colour adjustment:
red LEDs
green LEDs with 25 % brightness,
blue LEDs with 50 % brightness

6 DMX Control

For operation via a light controller with
DMX512 protocol (e. g. DMX-1440 or
DMX-120 by "img Stage Line"), the spot-
light is equipped with 5 control channels.
The functions of these channels and the
DMX values can be found in chapter 6.3.
6.1 Connection
As a DMX interface, the spotlight is pro -
vided with 3-pole XLR connections with
the following pin configuration:
1 = ground, 2 = DMX-, 3 = DMX+
For connection, special cables for high
data flow should be used. The use of
standard microphone cables can only be
recommended for a total cable length of
up to 100 m. The best transmission re sults
are obtained with screened microphone
cables of 2 x 0.25 mm
transmission cables. For cable lengths
exceeding 150 m it is recommended to
insert a DMX level matching amplifier
(e. g. SR-103DMX from "img Stage Line").
1) Connect the input DMX IN (6) to the
DMX output of the light controller.
2) Connect the output DMX OUT (7) to
the DMX input of the next unit con -
trolled by DMX. Connect its output
again to the input of the following unit,
10
with 100 % brightness,
2
or special data
etc. until all units to be controlled have
been connected.
The DMX output jack has a latch ing. To
remove the plug, press the PUSH lever.
3) Terminate the DMX output of the last
unit controlled by DMX in the chain with
a 120 Ω resistor: Solder the resistor to
the pins 2 and 3 of an XLR plug and
connect the plug to the DMX output or
use a corresponding terminating plug
(e. g. DLT-123 from "img Stage Line").
6.2 Adjustments on the spotlight
1) Set the switch AUTO/MUSIC (3) to the
position MUSIC.
2) Via the DIP switches 1 – 7 (4), adjust
the start address (i. e. the address pro-
vided for control of the first channel of
the spotlight) as a binary number. Set
the DIP switch 8 to the off position.
The start address will result from
adding the place values of the DIP
switches set to ON, e. g.
DMX start address 1
DMX start address 13 (= 8 + 4 + 1)
Always start from the highest possible
place value and add the lower values
in descending order. As an aid for
adjusting, the small PC programme
DIPSWTCH.EXE can be downloaded
via the Internet:

Soft ware Updates
After adjusting the start address, the
channels 2 – 5 are assigned to the follow -
ing addresses, e. g. in case of start ad -
dress 13 for channel 1:
address 14 for channel 2
address 15 for channel 3
address 16 for channel 4
address 17 for channel 5
