After adjusting the column to the patient's height, insert
the ear rods into patient's ear canals.
CAUTION
9. Click the Ready button after the patient has been positioned. No X-Ray will
be emitted at this point.
10. Proceed to section 4.3 Initiating X-Ray Exposure.
4. Guide the patient to the CEPH unit.
5. Adjust the height of the unit to suit the
patient by pressing the column up/down
button.
6. Ask the patient to stand upright facing
the sensor.
Make sure that the patient's shoulders
are level and that his/her neck is relaxed.
7. The ear rods should fit properly along
the external auditory meatus of the
patient. The patient's Frankfurt Plane
should be parallel to the floor.
8. Ask the patient to swallow saliva and
remain still with his/her mouth closed
until X-Ray exposure is complete.
