GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most
plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of
commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use
clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
WARNING:
Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-
based products, penetrating oils, etc., come in contact
with plastic parts. Chemicals can damage, weaken or
destroy plastic which may result in serious personal injury.
LUBRICATION
All of the bearings in this tool are lubricated with a sufficient
amount of high grade lubricant for the life of the unit under
normal operating conditions.

CLEANING THE RIP AND MITER GUIDES
During use, the rip and miter guides will become dirty
preventing the guides from sliding smoothly. It is important
to clean the saw often.
ADJUSTING LOCKING LEVER ASSEMBLY
See Figure 23, page 16.
Over time, the rip guide may become loose. If the rip guide
does not lock securely to the saw table, adjustments may
be required.
Unplug the saw and remove the rip guide.
Unlock the locking lever.
Adjust the lock nut until the lever is properly tensioned.
NOTE: Turn the nut clockwise to tighten the lever and
counterclockwise to loosen it.
When the desired adjustment is made, replace the rip
guide.
CLEANING THE SAW
Unplug the saw.
Remove the guides and bevel table from the saw.
Using a small brush and/or water, clean each piece thor-
oughly removing any trapped debris.
Remove the overflow drain and empty waste water into a
bucket. Do not allow the water to splash onto the ground
or around the machine.
Rinse the machine thoroughly.
Discard the waste water in accordance with local regula-
tions.
Replace the overflow drain. Tighten securely.
Dry off the tool.
