SolarReady: "Hysteresis" control for photovoltaic systems
The ST 310 control unit is designed in the factory for the control of a kiln supplied with electricity from a central power
supply (PID). If the kiln is operated using electrical energy provided by a photovoltaic/PV system at the operating
location, the factory-fitted PID controller may not be sufficient. It might make sense to configure the optional
"hysteresis" control for photovoltaic/PV systems in the ST 310 controller. This is especially true if the photovoltaic/PV
system also has a storage battery (electricity storage/battery storage).
If you use a photovoltaic/PV system to power your kiln and would like advice on the optimum control behaviour of the
ST 310 control system, contact the manufacturer.
Configuration of the optional "hysteresis" control for photovoltaic/PV systems can be done without replacing the
ST 310 control unit, but the unit may need to be sent to the manufacturer for configuration, or a possible service
appointment at the site of use may be required.

Error messages
7.1.
General description
If the control unit detects a problem, the buzzer will sound, and an error message will be displayed.
Note:
• Each of the listed error messages leads to the termination of the firing process. Terminating the firing process
protects the kiln from damage.
• The alarm buzzer will sound once per second.
• Disconnect the controller from the power supply before restarting it and commission a qualified electrician or
service technician to check the fault if you cannot rectify the problem yourself using the previously listed
information on troubleshooting.

Display screen
This error message will alternate with a display of the kiln temperature.
