Open window detection
If the IHC is in eco or comfort mode and detects a rapid drop in temperature due to opening a window or door to a cold room, the
system automatically switches to frost protection mode to safe energy.
The open window detection is indicated by a blinking frost protection icon.
If the IHC detects that the window or door has been closed, the system automatically switches back to the last selected heating mode.
Alternatively, an active open window mode can also be stopped manually by pressing the rotary knob.
The open window detection function is enabled per default, but can be disabled in the settings of the Zehnder Connect-App.
Please refer to section 4.
The quality of the window open / closed function depends on a number of factors, such as the position of the radiator, how fast the
temperature in the room rises / falls, the type of window, etc.
English
Pilot wire
If the IHC is equipped with pilot wire (only for French market, not available for products equipped with plug), it's possible to control
the device from your main control unit over this interface.
The IHC should first be put into comfort mode.
Standby
Frost protection
mode
The IHC can be set to standby mode, frost protection mode or eco mode, or stay in comfort mode with a reduced temperature by
1°C or 2°C.
If the IHC is controlled via pilot wire, the display shows the current heating mode with a blinking icon, indicating active pilot wire
override.
While pilot wire control is active, it is still possible to change the heating mode locally (by pressing the rotary knob) to a „lower" heating
mode than the current applied pilot wire mode.
Example: If current pilot wire mode is eco mode, it's possible to locally switch to frost protection or standby mode, but not to comfort mode.
