5. Immersion heater control IHC with Connect-Box
The IHC can also be integrated into the Zehnder Smart Home system, which allows to intelligently connect multiple Zehnder pro-
ducts in different rooms and to control them centrally via the Connect-App. This requires the Zehnder Connect-Box, which acts as
a central gateway and is available separately.
5.1 Device functions Connect-Box
Using the Connect-Box together with the Connect-App provides the following additional functionalities and settings:
• Creation of weekly programmes (including timer events for towel warming) for an automated room temperature regulation,
• Define default timer duration,
• Enable/disable open window detection,
• Enable/disable linked temperatures,
• Define a calibration offset for more precise room temperature regulation,
• Absence planner,
• Software update of the IHC,
• Central control of multiple devices and rooms,
• Remote access from via internet,
• Access to the Zehnder Cloud.
5.2 Commissioning
First set up the Connect-Box according to the enclosed instruction manual.
Open the Connect-App and let it search for available devices. In the next screen, select your Connect-Box (default name: "My Home")
in the list of found devices. Afterwards enter your desired username (optionally) and press "Connect". Confirm the pairing by pressing
the button on Connect-Box as described in the Connect-App.

5.3 Pairing Connect-Box with IHC
Please note that for pairing, both steps must be carried out on the app side and on the IHC within 60s.
In the Connect-App go to the "Settings" screen and click on "Rooms and devices". Select to room, to which you want to add your
IHC. In the next screen click on "Add devices" at the bottom of the screen to start the pairing process. Afterwards the pairing must
be completed on the IHC according the next section.
On the IHC access the settings menu, by pressing and holding the rotary knob for 3 seconds until „SEt" is displayed, then release.
When the surface temperature limitation is displayed briefly press the rotary knob two times until "BOX" is displayed.
