Always take the fuel cell and the battery out of
the tool and empty the magazine, if the tool is
no longer to be used, if it will be unsupervised,
is being transported to another working area
or is being adjusted, dismantled or repaired or
if you are removing a jammed fastener.
Transport
WARNING: Fire hazard! Fires can arise
when transporting batteries if the battery contacts
inadvertently come into contact with conductive
materials. When transporting batteries, ensure
that the battery contacts are protected and well
insulated, so that they cannot come into contact
with materials that would cause a short-circuit.
Protective equipment
Loose clothing, jewellery or falling objects, noise
and similar hazards could be a hazard for per-
sons. Persons using this device and who must
remain in the vicinity of the device, must wear
suitable personal protective equipment:
Safety helmet: protects the head against
falling objects
Safety glasses: protect the eyes against falling
objects, such as splinters and dust
Hearing protection: protects the ears against
excess noise
Device and operating safety
Gas cartridges and batteries can cause dangers.
Observe the safety instructions, see Gas car-
tridge and the section Charger and battery.
Explosion hazard:
If the barrel is pressed against a surface, the
motor conducts explosive gas into the com-
bustion chamber. If the trigger is not pressed,
re-pressing against the surface, causes the
explosive gas to escape.
Only use the gas nailer outdoors or in well
ventilated areas.
Never use the gas nailer in the vicinity of a fire
or easily flammable materials/liquids (thinners,
paint, varnish, petrol).
Smoking is forbidden when using the tool.
Safety instructions
Additional hazards for persons:
Prevent unauthorised persons and children
from accessing the gas nailer and gas car-
tridges.
Only use the gas nailer if it is in perfect condi-
tion and has been correctly maintained.
Only use the gas nailer with a correctly oper-
ating safety loop.
When changing workplace or if the device is
not being used or when it is being transported
or stored, as well as in the event of jams or
maintenance work, the following applies:
Keep the fingers away from the trigger and
remove the battery and gas cartridge.
Slippy handles can result in a loss of control:
Keep the handle dry, clean and free of grease
and oil.
When firing nails, allow for a recoil.
Therefore during operation, do not hold your
head directly over the gas nailer and start with
a low penetration depth.
Ensure you have a safe and well-balanced
posture, especially on platforms as well as
on high and/or inclined, uneven or slippy
working surfaces.
The gas nailer must not be used from a ladder.
Gas nailers must not be used to close boxes
or crates.
The gas nailer must not be used to attach
transport locks to vehicles and trucks.
In the following situations, nails can
break into several parts after their inser-
tion causing severe injuries:
If too soft, thin or too hard materials are
penetrated or if the penetration depth is set
too high.
If nails impact other nails after penetration.
Maintain at least 5 cm distance from edges
and corners.
Do not use the gas nailer if people are present
on the other side of the nailer.
Always position the gas nailer at angle of 90°
to the surface.
