If the Messages sent via setting is E-mail, this setting is E-mail server that
allows you to save the phone number of the e-mail server.
Delivery reports—Request the network to send delivery reports on your
messages (network service).
Use GPRS—Select Yes to set the phone to send text messages over a GPRS
connection if this is possible. Also, you can set the GPRS connection to Always
online. See "Connectivity" on page 27.
Reply via same center—Allow the recipient of your message to send you a reply
message using your message center (network service).
Rename sending profile—Change the name of the sending profile. The name
of the default profile cannot be changed.
Overwriting
You can set the phone to automatically replace old messages with new ones.
Select Menu > Messages > Message settings > Text messages > Overwriting
in sent items or Overwriting in inbox. Select Allowed to set the phone to replace
the old text messages with new ones in the Sent items or Inbox folder, respectively.
Multimedia messages
Select Menu > Messages > Message settings > Multimedia msgs., and one
of the following:
Save sent messages—Select Yes to set the phone to save sent multimedia
messages in the Sent items folder. If you select No, the sent messages are
not saved.
Delivery reports—Request the network to send delivery reports on your
messages (network service).
Scale image down—Select whether images are scaled to a smaller size when
inserted into a message.
Default slide timing—Define how long each slide in your presentations is
shown by default.
Allow multimedia reception—Select Yes to allow the reception of multimedia
messages, No to prevent it, or In home network to allow it only in your
home network.
Incoming multimedia messages—Select Retrieve to automatically retrieve
received multimedia messages, or select Reject if you do not want to receive
multimedia messages.
This setting is not shown if Allow multimedia reception is set to No.
Connection settings—Define the browser settings for retrieving newly received
multimedia messages. Activate the connection set where you want to save the
settings; then edit them. See also "Manual service settings" on page 36.
