Menu functions
Display brightness—Change the brightness level. Scroll left or right to decrease
or increase the level, and select OK to accept it.
Menu view—Set the way the phone displays the main menu. If you select List,
the menus are shown as a list. If you select Grid, the menus are shown as a grid.
In the grid view, the menu name is shown at the top of the display.
Time and date settings
Select Menu > Settings > Time and date settings and one of the
following settings:
Clock—Set the phone to show the current time in the standby mode, adjust the
time, and select the 12- or 24-hour time format. If the battery is removed from
the phone, you may need to set the time again.
Date—Show or hide the date in the standby mode, set the date, or select the
date format or date separator. If the battery is removed from the phone for a
long time, you may need to set the date again.
Auto-update of date & time—Set the phone to automatically update the time
and date according to the current time zone (network service). The automatic
update of date and time does not change the time you have set for the alarm
clock or the reminder notes; they are in local time. Updating may cause some
alarms that you have set to expire without sounding.
Personal shortcuts
You can select the function for the right selection key shown in the standby
mode and the functions (personal shortcuts) that can be accessed by pressing
Go to in the standby mode or by entering the Go to menu.
Select Menu > Settings > Personal shortcuts and one of the following options:
Right selection key—Select the function for the right selection key.
Select Go to options—Select the functions for your shortcut list. Scroll to a
function, and select Mark to add it to the list. To remove a function from the
list, select Unmark. To save the changes, select Done and Yes.
Organize Go to options—Change the order of the functions on the list. Scroll to
the desired function, select Move, and select where you want to move the function.
Connectivity
In this menu you can define when the phone connects to the GPRS network
(network service). For general information about the GPRS service, see "GPRS"
on page 12.
Select Menu > Settings > Connectivity > GPRS connection > Always online
