2) Solid/Flow cable option
Depending on the position of the MIG/MAG and FLUX/SOLID switches, some
front panel parameters may or may not be available. Always check before
welding that the position of the switches corresponds to the gas and the type
of wire you are going to use.
If you wish to use self-shielded or ux cored wire (FCAW process), with or without gas, place the switch
in the FLUX position. If you wish to use solid wire of any material, with any type of gas, set the switch to
the SOLID" position.
3) Burn back control
The burnback control is used to adjust the amount of MIG wire that protrudes from the MIG torch after
the completion of MIG welding (commonly referred to as stick out). To decrease the burnback time (or
lengthen the amount of wire protruding from the MIG torch at the completing of welding), turn the
burnback control knob anti clockwise. To increase the burnback time (or shorten the amount of wire
protruding from the torch at the completing of welding), turn the Burnback Control knob clockwise.
4.3.3 Operation in electrode mode (MMA).
1. Press the process selection button until the L.E.D. / PILOT of the MMA process is on.
2. Adjust the current knob to the desired power.
3. Adjust arc force knob.
