Wiring the TM-RM/RM terminal submodule
• When laying the cables and connecting the submodule,
observe the regulations in EN 60079-14 plus any
applicable national regulations.
• In wiring the submodule, you must strictly separate the
intrinsically safe lines from the non-intrinsically safe. They
must be laid in separate cable ducts.
• Actuators from Zone 1, Zone 2, as well as Zones 21, 22
and the safe area may be connected to Ex-e screw
terminals of the terminal module. The terminal assignment
of the terminal module can be found in the "SIMATIC
Distributed I/O ET 200iSP" operating instructions.
• The cover of the Ex-e screw terminals must be closed
during operation.
Assembly
• Charging, connecting and disconnecting the electronic
modules is done via the Ex-d separating plug. This breaks
the circuit between the Ex-e screw terminals and the relay
contacts in the electronic module.
Commissioning
• The relevant national regulations must be observed when
commissioning the system.
• When checking the functionality of the equipment, observe
the EN 60079-17 guidelines. This standard includes the
regulations found in the international standard
IEC 60079-17.
