Lift up the Positive Stop Locking Lever
and turn the table to the desired angle as
indicated on the miter protractor scale.

Lock the table into position by tightening
the Miter Handle Locking Knob.

NOTE: It is good practice to always lock the
table into position using the Miter Handle
Locking Knob, even if one of the positive stops
has been selected.
Proceed to make the cut as previously
described In MAKING A BASIC CUT.

Loosen the Bevell Lock Handle
Tilt the Cutting Head to the desired angle.
A protractor guide is provided behind the
Bevel Lock Handle to aid setting.
Tighten the Bevel Lock Handle securely
when the required angle has been
achieved.
MAKING A BASIC BEVEL CUT (Fig. Y)
The Cutting Head can be set at any angle up to
a 450to the Left Hand side only.
The Bevel Angle Lock Handle is found at the
rear of the machine. Positive stops are located
at 00 (blade vertical) and 450.
NOTE: The Bevel Angle Lock Handle has a
spring loaded lever. This enables the lever
to be repositioned on the locking screw.
Repositioning may be necessary to allow the
screw to be tightened sufficiently when a bevel
angle is set.
Proceed to make the cut as previously
described in MAKING A BASIC CUT.
MAKING A COMPOUND CUT (Fig. Z)
A compound cut is a combination of a miter
and bevel cut.
Select the required mitre angle as previously
described in MAKING A MITER CUT
Select the required bevel angle as
previously described in MAKING A BEVEL
CUT
Ensure the tightness of all adjustment/
locking screws before making a cut.
