position. Theicemaker p owerlightwillturngreen
whenthefreezer lightswitchispressed in or when
thefreezer doorisclosed.
Theicemakerwillfillwith waterwhenit coolsto
15°F (-IO°C). A newlginstalled refrigerator m aUtake
12to 24 hoursto beginmaking icecubes.
Youwill heara buzzing soundeachtime
the icemakerfills with water.
Throwawagthe firstfew batchesof iceto allow
the water lineto clear.
Besurenothinginterfereswith the sweep
ofthe feelerarm.
Whenthe binfills to the levelof thefeelerarm,the
icemakerwillstop producingice.It isnormalfor
several c ubesto bejoinedtogether.
If iceis not usedfrequentl U,old icecubeswill
becomecloudU,tastestaleand shrink.
NOTE: In homeswith tower-than-average water
pressure, btoumablheartheicemaker c b/cte multiple
timeswhenmakingone botchof ice.
NOTE: Setthepowerswitchto the 0 (off)positionif
thewatersupptbt i sshutoff.

To reach the icemaker power switch, pullthe
shelfabove the ice binstraight out. AIwagsbe
sure to replace the shelf.
Toaccess ice, simplg pullthe bin forward.

To Use the External
Dispenser
(onsomemodels)
Press the glassgentl U againstthetop of the
dispenser c radle.
Thespillshelfisnotself-draining. Toreducewater
spotting, t heshelfshouldbecleanedregularlg.
If no water isdispensed whentherefrigerator is
firstinstalled, t heremobt b e air in the waterline
%/stem. Press thedispenser a rmfor at leasttwo
minutesto removetrappedair from thewaterline
andto fillthe watersbtstem. Toflushout impurities
in thewater line,throw owobt t hefirstsix glassfuls
ofwater.
Locking the Dispenser
Press the LOCK padfor 3 seconds to lock
the dispenser and controlpanel.Tounlock,press
and holdthe pad againfor 3 seconds.
Door Alarm
Tosetthealarm,press the DOOR ALARM pad.The
indicator l ightwillilluminate. This alarmwillsoundif
eitherdoorisopenformorethan2 minutes. The
beeping stopswhenUouclose thedoor.
To Use the Internal
Dispenser (onsomemodels)
Thewaterdispenser i slocatedon the leftwallinside
the refrigerator c ompartment.
Todispense water:
0
Holdthe glassagainst t he recess.
0
Push the waterdispenser b utton.
Holdthe glassunderneath the dispenser for
2-3 seconds after releasing the dispenser
button.Watermagcontinue to dispense after
the buttonisreleased.
Ifno water isdispensedwhen the refrigerator i s first
installed, therema_lbe airinthe waterlinesystem.
Press t hedispenser buttonforatleast 2 minutes to
remove trapped air fromthewaterlineandto fillthe
watersystem. D uringthisprocess, thedispenser noise
mobl b e loudastheair ispurged fromthewaterline
system. T oflushoutimpurities inthewaterline,throw
awabt t hefirst6 glassfuls o f water.
NOTE: Toavoidwaterdeposits, t hedispenser
shouldbecleaned periodicottbt bbtwipingwith
