4 Initial start-up
WARNING
Dangerous mains voltage!
Improper handling of the machine can lead to an electric shock.
• Only use the document shredder in dry rooms indoors. Do not operate the device in
rooms with high humidity or the rain.
• Keep the machine, the plug and cable away from open fi re and hot surfaces.
The ventilation slots must not be blocked or covered and there must be at
least 5 cm space between the shredder and any wall or furniture.
• Make sure that the power plug is easily accessible.
• Before you insert the power plug, make sure that the voltage and frequency of your power
supply comply with the information on the name plate.
 Connect the provided power cable to the back of the document shredder and insert
the power plug into a properly installed socket.
5 Operation
Hook in the shredded material bag
Alternative collection system
A 240 l paper bin made from HB material (standard DIN EN 840) can be integrated as
a waste container. Dimensions of bin: WxHxD 580+/-5x1100x740 mm.

 Open the door and pull out the frame (1).
 Hook the shredded material bag into
the frame.
 Slide the frame into the guide and close
the door.
 Remove the shredded material bag frame
from the base cabinet.
 Slide the shredded material distributor (1)
into the guide.
 Place the bin into the base cabinet and
ensure that the shredded material distributor
leads to the bin.
