Note
The safety element is fi tted with contact protection. The document shredder switches off if you press
the safety element during the shredding process.

Remedy
You have fed in too much paper at once.
►The cutting unit runs in reverse for a few seconds and pushes
the paper back out again.
 If necessary, press the reverse button "R" to remove the stack
of paper.
 Take half the stack of paper.
 Feed in the paper in sheet at a time.
The motor was overloaded.
 Let the document shredder cool down for 20 minutes before
starting it up again.
A fault has occurred while shedding paper.
 Pull the paper out of the slot to clear the light barrier.
 Empty the shredded material container.
Note
If you briefl y press the reversing button before removing
the container, some of the shredded material will be pulled
back into the cutting unit and will not fall into the interior of
the document shredder.
 Close the door.
 Do not press the safety element.
