cleaning:
Industrial washing machine Dräger CombiClean
or equivalent
Washing agent: Eltra
For dosage information, see information 9021380
Washing bag (for chemical protective suit with full face
mask)
The industrial washing machine must have the following
features:
Drum volume >130 litres
Drum diameter >60 cm
Door opening >37 cm
Programmable logic controller
Electronic temperature control ±2 °C
Drum speed: max. 20 rotations/minute (2 slow rotations in
one direction, 18 seconds waiting time, 2 slow rotations in
the other direction, 18 seconds waiting time)
Clean and disinfect the chemical protective suit as follows:
1. Remove the ventilation unit, clean and disinfect separately.
Then rinse thoroughly in clean water.
2. Unfasten the protective cap and valve disc on the suit
valve.
3. Remove gloves, if applicable:
If the chemical protective suit is equipped with a glove
combination, the glove combination must be removed
and disposed.
If Tricotril overgloves were used, remove them but do
not wash them. Contaminated Tricotril overgloves must
be replaced.
If K-MEX-Gigant overgloves were used, remove them
and clean separately.
Remove FKM, FKM/Butyl and Butyl gloves.
WARNING
!
There is the risk of contamination if the glove
combination is not replaced!
No assurance has been made that the material will be
able to withstand repeated chemical exposure.
4. Clean the valve disc separately with clean, warm water and
then disinfect.
5. Open the fastener system on the chemical protective suit
completely.
6. Spread out the chemical protective suit on a clean working
surface and smooth out wrinkles.
7. For a permanently fitted full face mask:
a. Pull the washing bag over the hood so that the washing
bag foam is on the full face mask visor.
b. Tighten and tie the cord.
8. Turn up the socks or protective boots twice. Avoid sharp
bends.
9. Place the sleeves into the centre of the chest section.
Smooth out any creases.
10. Fold the hood and top section of the chemical protective
suit so that they are positioned on the rolled up protective

washing machine.
12. Start the washing program "Chemical protective suit".
CAUTION
!
Risk of damaging the material!
To avoid damaging the chemical protective suit, the
wash drum must only move when filled with water.
Observe the following parameters during washing:
Water temperature:
62 °C ±2 °C
4 rinsing cycles with clear, cold water.
13. Dry all parts (see Chap. 6.3.3 on Page 32).
6.3.3

Drying the chemical protective suit

CAUTION
!
Risk of damaging the material!
To avoid the chemical protective suit being damaged,
it must not be spin-dried.
To avoid mould formation, for example, the chemical
protective suit must be completely dry.
1. Before drying, tip out any remaining liquid from the
chemical protective suit or wipe with a sponge.
2. Dry all parts thoroughly inside and outside.
The chemical protective suit can be blow-dried using dry,
oil-free compressed air or in a protective suit dryer system:
– Temperature: maximum 40 °C
– Time: min. 120 minutes
Avoid direct heat radiation or direct sunlight.
NOTICE
i
i
Suitable drying systems for the chemical protective
suit include:
TopTrock SF01 with GF fan
Drying systems of an equivalent design
3. Visual inspection of chemical protective suit, full face mask,
protective boots and gloves.
4. Re-fit the air supply unit.
5. For chemical protective suits with face cuff, apply talc to the
face cuff inside and outside after every cleaning and
disinfection process so that the material does not become
stuck together.
