1. First determine the matching support ring by consulting the selection table
(page 27). Note: Support rings are not necessary for some bearings. If the bearing
number is no longer legible, you can also determine this by measuring the inner
and outer diameters of the bearing.
2. Consult the table to find out which jaws and pressure pads you need.
3. Place the ring on the inner ring of the bearing. Make sure the ring is resting flat
on the surface.
4. Fit the jaws on the cross-beam one at a time.
5. The pulling jaws can be easily fitted on the cross-beam with a 90° rotation.
6. Insert the jaws in the tracks of the bearing.
7. Turn the spindle using a suitable drive tool (standard wrench or torque wrench –
NOT an impact driver). The pulling jaws will come under tension and the puller will
be centered automatically. Before starting the removal process, make sure all jaws
are firmly hooked on the bearing. Continue turning the spindle to pull the bearing
off.
